For our Human Resources team, we are currently looking for a


Global HR Business Partner

(commercial / operations / procurement & supply chain)

full time, based in Geleen, The Netherlands


The position:


The main purpose of this role is translating the corporate HR strategy to the business areas, to act as a HR BP for the specific business areas, to advise on HR practices and to ensure implementation of HR procedures and processes, in close collaboration with the organization's leadership and the Global HR Country organization and the Centers of Expertise.


Key responsibilities:


Functional Strategy Formation

Lead the development and implementation of HR strategy in the business areas, anticipating complex issues, challenges, and opportunities, and ensuring integration with wider functional strategy.



Leadership and Direction

Identify and communicate the actions needed to implement the HR strategy and business plan within business areas; explain the relationship to the broader organization's mission, vision, ways of working and values; motivate people to commit to these and to doing extraordinary things to achieve local business goals.


HR Frameworks and Tools

Lead the development of HR frameworks and tools for the business areas ensuring compliance with external requirements and integration with the broader corporate policy framework.


Information and Business Advice

Provide authoritative specialist guidance to senior management within the business areas to enable the implementation of policy, projects, and change initiatives.




Contribute to and/or coordinate the recruitment activities on a senior leadership level within the business areas, in line with overall recruitment policies as developed by Talent Management & Development, in order to attract high-quality candidates.


Internal Client Relationship Management


Manage relationships with strategic internal clients and act as a business

partner to them, building high levels of professional credibility and mutual trust, and mobilizing appropriate internal and/or external resources to support in delivering business strategy and plans.

Personal Capability Building


Project Management


Change Management

Act as subject matter expert on a broad range of HR topics within the business area. Maintain external accreditations and in-depth understanding of current and emerging external regulation and industry best practices through continuing professional development, attending conferences, and reading specialist media.


Manage a portfolio of global and strategic HR projects in line with overall project management strategy.



Manage the development and/or delivery of a significant element of an

organizational change management initiative for the respective business areas.



Your profile:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources / Business Administration or related field
  • 10 - 15 years of HR experience, at least 5 years as HR BP in a global, matrix organization
  • Fluency in English is a requirement, good command of Dutch/German is a plus
  • Excellent communication & presentation skills
  • Outstanding stakeholder management skills
  • Proactive, self-starter, high energy
  • Hands-on and pragmatic mentality
  • Collaborative, pragmatic,  ‘can do’ attitude
  • International mindset and willingness to travel
