Reporting to the Production Manager, you will be responsible for the medium-term development of our workshops. You will be a driving force behind proposals to optimize workshop performance and constantly seek to improve the site's overall performance (safety, environment, energy, production capacity, etc.).
Main tasks :
Area of responsibility: HSE
- On a daily basis, ensures that ARLANXEO personnel and outside contractors comply with safety regulations on their unit.
- Works to improve safety by taking part in safety dialogues and inspection rounds.
- Participates in HAZOP studies and organizes the implementation of actions assigned to his/her team.
- Makes proposals to improve the site's energy efficiency and integrates energy cost reduction into the organization of operations.
- Ensures compliance with the site's environmental rules, in particular as regards waste management and aqueous and gaseous emissions. Supports the implementation of actions steered by the HSE department.
- Participation in and follow-up of corrective actions for safety incidents.
Area of responsibility: Production / Maintenance / Projects / Continuous Improvement
- Daily monitoring of production
- Analysis of process malfunctions (troubleshooting)
- Participation in defining objectives: quality, quantity, costs, deadlines
- Responsible for all projects and requests for modifications to production units, in direct liaison with the Engineering and Maintenance departments.
- Ensures continuous improvement of the Production Department, in particular by managing Lean projects (LEAPS, 6-sigma).
- Is the operational reference for the development, implementation and acceptance (PSSR) of projects on production units.
- Drafting and updating procedures and operating modes.
- Participates in setting up and monitoring performance and operating indicators for his/her unit.
- Organizes and monitors Root Causes Analysis (RCA) actions in the event of process incidents.
- Contributes to the implementation of tools required to maintain the performance of production facilities.
- Proposes and defines corrective and preventive actions to reduce production shortages.
- Ensures technical communication and team training on process-related projects, improvements, modifications and incidents.
- Participate in the execution of work and contribute to the availability of equipment during technical shutdowns and to the restarting of installations during such shutdowns.
Area of responsibility: Management
- Is the line manager of the Operations Support Technicians.
- In this capacity, he/she transmits work instructions to his/her team and monitors their application.
- Prepares and conducts annual and professional performance reviews.
- Is the back-up for the following persons in case of absence: Production Engineer
Profile required
With a background in process/chemical engineer, you have at least 5 years' experience in the chemical industry or similar.
You are familiar with Lean or similar continuous improvement approaches (6-sigma).
You are familiar with IT tools (PI, Office, Minitab) and data processing.
You have good interpersonal skills and an aptitude for cross-functional work, and are present in the field.
You listen to all those involved (internal or external departments) to identify possible areas for improvement, and involve them in defining the corresponding improvement actions.
The complexity and diversity of the issues you'll be dealing with call for a high degree of autonomy and ability.
You are easily adaptable, autonomous and able to multi-task.
The international context requires professional English.
