This role is responsible for driving end-to-end accounting process excellence across North America, shifting from transactional execution to process ownership, automation, and value creation.
The position ensures operational integrity within a hybrid operating model by:
- Governing activities performed by the Shared Services Center (India COE)
- Driving process standardization, automation, and continuous improvement
- Strengthening internal controls and compliance
- Enhancing financial insights to support regional decision-making
The role serves as a key connector between local finance, shared services, and corporate, enabling scalable, technology-driven processes and promoting global best practices.

Technical Accounting Lead analysis and resolution of complex technical accounting topics (e.g., benefit accounting, tax accounting, provisions, and other IFRS-related matters) Interpret and apply accounting standards to non-routine or judgmental transactions Partner with Corporate Accounting and external advisors to align on accounting positions Ensure clear process documentation, SOPs, and control frameworks (ICFR alignment) |

Process Ownership & Optimization Own and continuously improve assigned end-to-end accounting processes (RTR, close, reporting) Identify inefficiencies and redesign processes to drive standardization and scalability Lead root-cause analysis and implement sustainable corrective actions |

Accounting Shared Services Governance Act as interface with India COE for accounting operations Define, monitor, and improve service delivery performance (quality, timeliness, accuracy) Resolve escalations and ensure accountability between local and COE teams Support streamlining, transition and stabilization of activities |

Automation & Digital Enablement Identify and implement automation opportunities (Power Platform, SAP, reporting tools) Reduce manual journal entries, enhance reconciliations, and analytic activities Partner to design scalable solutions |

Business Partnering & Regional Support Provide analytical insights to support decision-making across US and Canada operations Engage directly with manufacturing sites and functional stakeholders Translate financial data into actionable business recommendations Support regional initiatives and strategic projects |

Financial Integrity & Reporting Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial results under IFRS Support reporting, audits, and regulatory requirements Maintain strong internal control environment and compliance standards Contribute to period-end close with focus on exceptions and analytics (not transaction processing) |

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CPA strongly preferred and/or Master’s degree
- 5 to 10 years of professional experience
