ARLANXEO has a new career opportunity available for a Head of Accounting & Reporting NORAM our Pittsburgh Corporate office. This position is not open to full remote work and operates on a hybrid schedule.

 

This position will manage General Ledger accounting, Financial Reporting, and Financial Controls for North America. Ensure accurate and timely financial closing in compliance with legal requirements, IFRS, and ARLANXEO/Aramco guidelines. Develop and implement process enhancements and train other regions. Manage critical tasks locally and abroad to ensure high standards in accounting, reporting, and internal controls for North American entities. Play a key role in designing and implementing solutions using the latest technology

 

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • General Accounting:
    • Oversee general ledger operations and month-end closing
    • Ensure proper documentation for transactions and reports
    • Manage journal entrie­s and complex transactions
    • Organize and execute closing steps, manage projects, and audit requests
    • Ensure timely and accurate recording of accounting entries
    • Direct balance sheet account analysis and reconciliation
    • Manage fixed asset accounting, including capitalization, depreciation, and asset disposals

 

  • Financial Reporting:
    • Ensure compliance with corporate policies, IFRS, and ARLANXEO guidelines
    • Manage preparation and submission of monthly reports
    • Partner with the Tax Department for data requests and tax compliance
    • Oversee accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems to meet standards
    • Provide financial advice for strategic planning and decision-making
    • Manage preparation and submission of government surveys
  • Compliance and Control:
  • Manage Internal Control Officer activities to ensure compliance and address deficiencies
  • Maintain financial process documentation in line with global guidelines
  • Act as the main contact for financial audits and reviews
  • Ensure local application of IFRS and ARLANXEO guidance

 

  • Team Leadership and Process Improvement
    • Lead and mentor staff, providing support and training
    • Support projects and system implementations to improve processes and data integrity
    • Collaborate with other functions to align financial performance with business goals
    • Review and implement corporate policies and procedures
       

In order to accomplish this, you will possess: 

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent
  • MBA or relevant professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) and 10 years of professional experience required
  • Strong leadership and project management skills
  • In-depth knowledge of accounting policies, IFRS/local GAAP, and specific accounting norms
  • Experience with SAP and advanced skills in Excel and Microsoft Office
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact effectively at all levels within a global organization
  • Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment
  • Ability to effectively organize task completion for own team and other organizations

  • Regional Accounting Management: Handle high interdependency between the USA, Canada, and other entities
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to laws and corporate guidelines while managing internal control framework

  • Leadership: Lead personnel and functions in a dynamic environment
  • Resource Management: Allocate resources efficiently while controlling costs and streamlining operations
