ARLANXEO has a new career opportunity available for a Customer Service Representative at our Pittsburgh Corporate office. This position is not open to full remote work and operates on a hybrid schedule.

The Customer Service Representative serves as a reliable and knowledgeable point of contact for domestic customers, ensuring timely feedback and updates regarding orders. Facilitates effective communication to address customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly. Builds and maintains strong relationships with customers, delivering a best-in-class service experience that promotes satisfaction and long-term loyalty.

 

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Ensuring the accurate and timely entry of domestic customer orders into the SAP system to meet customer material requirements.  This would include the expedient assignment of available inventory to meet the customer’s delivery requirements, verifying and effectively communicating order details with customers, maintaining customer information within SAP, coordinating special customer requests, returns and shipping arrangements with warehouses and logistics, and ensuring accurate invoicing to customers.
  • Developing strong working relationships with external customers, providing a best-in-class customer experience that will cultivate customer loyalty.
  • Initiating the creation of internal and external supplier non-compliance issues in the SCAR/CAR reporting system, providing details regarding non-conformance for root cause analysis and recommending corrective actions for problems encountered during shipping and billing.  Follow-up with customers and internal groups as necessary for corrective action.
  • Coordinating the processing of customer deduction notices by gathering background information on why the customer short remitted/paid in excess, and work with accounts receivable on rectifying account balances by processing debits and/or credits as necessary.
  • Assisting the complaint coordinator in providing background order information for customer complaints to ensure a quick resolution.
  • Providing back-up coverage for other customer service representatives as necessary, ensuring a seamless transition from the customer perspective.

 

In order to accomplish this, you will possess:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or 3 to 5 years of equivalent experience
  • Experience in customer service within the synthetic rubber industry, including managing various packaging types, short shelf-life products, and multiple distribution centers
  • Superior computer literacy skills including experience and competence with SAP and Microsoft Office
  • Strong Excel skills, with high attention to detail and strong analytical abilities
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage customer interactions professionally, including in high-stress situations
  • Strong decision-making, time management, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and complete tasks with minimal supervision
