ARLANXEO has a new career opportunity available for an Accountant II at our Pittsburgh Corporate office. 

 

As an Accountant II you will be responsible for a full spectrum of activities including asset accounting, general accounting, period-end closing, account reconciliations, audit support, and financial reporting support.

 

This position supports the North American Finance organization to fulfill the requirements of ARLANXEO and parent company Saudi Aramco by ensuring the integrity and accuracy of financial information, functioning as regional expert for asset accounting and project capitalizations, and partnering with internal colleagues across multiple locations to foster a proactive, collaborative work environment.

 

 

Duties include, but are not limited to:

 

  • Asset Accounting
    • Function as regional expert for asset accounting and project capitalizations
    • Ensure accurate asset accounting including project capitalizations, retirements, reporting, etc.
    • Partner with individuals across multiple manufacturing locations to ensure adherence to IFRS and internal accounting guidance
    • Apply IFRS 16 lease accounting across regional lease population
    • Own capital project reviews for accounting approval
    • Support lease vs buy analysis and DCF analysis as needed
    • Complete legal entity capital expenditure reporting
    • Lead depreciation budgeting and forecasting
    • Coordinate physical inventory of fixed assets

 

  • Maintenance Accounting
    • Represent finance to maintenance personnel for SAP related issues, GR/IR, inventory, etc.
    • Manage Self-invoicing of consignment parts
    • Manage accruals and support cost reporting
    • Provide finance expertise on work order topics
    • Ensure proper settlement of expense and capital work orders

 

  • General Accounting
    • Record monthly journal entries related to various general ledger accounts
    • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual schedules to support financial reporting
    • Manage and prepare monthly account reconciliations including researching and resolving differences
    • Support tax and audit requests for information and organization of regional activities
    • Support Accompanying Letter commentary for Financial Reporting
    • Develop and adapt reports to support management requests and ad hoc analysis
    • Participate in global initiatives to enhance accounting and financial close processes
    • Support process documentation efforts and draft/implement changes in accordance with global guidance

 

 

In order to accomplish this, you will possess:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or other financial discipline required
    • Advanced degree (MBA or MS) and/or professional designation (CPA, CMA, etc.) preferred
  • 3-5 years’ experience required
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, conceptual thinking and general quantitative skills are required
  • In-depth knowledge of accounting policies, IFRS /local GAAP, procedures, and specific accounting norms
  • In-depth knowledge is preferred in multiple financial dimensions such as fixed assets, financial reporting, business integrations, or auditing
  • Highly motivated with progressively increased level of accounting responsibility, ideally with manufacturing companies and/or large multinationals
  • SAP experience is strongly preferred
  • Advanced skills with Excel and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to influence individuals across multiple locations, both domestic and foreign, and at varying levels of the organization, while possessing a detail-oriented mindset to adhere to applicable accounting guidelines.
