ARLANXEO has a new career opportunity available for a Utilities Operations Engineer at our Orange Manufacturing site. 

 

As a Utilities Operations Engineer, you will:

 

Have the responsibility of making utility technical decisions and recommendations from both an electrical, mechanical, and operations perspective. This position is also responsible for the offsite areas as a process steward, providing leadership in keeping the site infrastructure operating at a high level of integrity and reliability.   

 

Duties include, but not limited to:

  • Coordinate with the plant maintenance and capital groups to ensure all electrical and mechanical installations maintain compliance with assigned regulatory requirements as well as ARLANXEO engineering specifications and standards.
  • Review, update and establish preventive maintenance programs to ensure reliability through periodic or condition-based checks.
  • Where necessary, set up parts in stores.
  • When needed, assist in incident investigations, analyze equipment failures, and perform critical job observations to help reduce injuries and equipment damage.
  • Develop and execute CIP Projects, MOC’s, and Capital Projects to improve Utilities operations, HES, and quality.
  • Provide DCS support for configuration of I/O and logic points.
  • Review, update and establish PSM procedures for critical equipment and instrumentation.
  • Provide support to maintenance for troubleshooting complicated or time sensitive equipment failures and develop solutions for improvement.
  • Maintain the electrical integrity and reliability of the Utilities unit including
    • Unit electrical and mechanical drawings
    • Electrical components of P&ID’s
    • Electrical and mechanical infrastructure of the unit
  • Ensure the electrical safety and integrity of the equipment power distribution system through monitoring, testing, inspection, and maintenance.  Qualify necessary technicians for work on high voltage equipment.
  • Ensure that the Orange Site has a reliable electrical distribution system throughout and preventative and predictive maintenance practices.

 

In order to accomplish this you will possess:

  • The position requires a BS degree in Electrical Engineering with experience in power distribution
  • 5 years experience of all phases of technical equipment operations, design, procurement, and construction
  • Knowledge of and the ability to interpret and utilize internal and external codes and standards to ensure compliance.
  • Good interpersonal skills and must be highly proficient using a PC.
  • Experience in day-to-day equipment maintenance and SAP software functions is a plus. 
  • Ability to prioritize work assignments, work in fast-paced environment, and manage multiple and competing tasks and demands. Organization and time-management skills are essential.
