ARLANXEO has a new career opportunity available for a Project Chemical Engineer at our Orange Manufacturing site. 

As a Sr. Project Chemical Engineer, you will be responsible for leading engineering projects focused on the safety of pressure relief systems, including projects related to new equipment, modifications, and revalidations, ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations (29 CFR 1910) and API standards.

Duties include, but not limited to:

  • Lead - direct, facilitate and implement – capital project efforts for the Orange Site.  Coordinate activities of all necessary ARLANXEO departments as well as outside CapEx & Contractor Services as required to accomplish objectives.
  • Communicate to Management new proposals, evaluations, and progress/status of current activities.  Report on status of assigned projects.
  • Work with the unit Engineering, HSEQ and Global Technology in the design packages – includes P&ID mark-ups, equipment sizing, specification of construction materials, equipment and specification, determination of utilities and power requirements.
  • Lead the pressure safety reviews for new projects, modifications, and revalidations according OSHA regulation 29 CFR 1910 and API standards.
  • Review emergency relief systems design, and methodology provided by engineering firms, contractors, and vendors.

 

In order to accomplish this, you will possess:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering required
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience engineering within a production facility.
  • The person in this position should be able to lead and serve on problem solving teams related to project management and HAZOP. 
  • Knowledge of pressure relief systems, OSHA regulations (29 CFR 1910) and API 520/521 standards is required.
  • Good interpersonal skills and must be highly proficient using a PC.
  • Experience in day-to-day equipment maintenance.
  • Organization and time-management skills are essential.
