ARLANXEO has a new career opportunity available for a Health and Safety Engineer at our Orange Manufacturing site.
As a Health and Safety Engineer, you:
Will provide technical expertise, guidance and directional leadership to the Orange Site to assure compliance with all federal, state, corporate and site standards for Occupational Health and Safety and Process Safety and Risk Management.
Duties include, but not limited to:
- Provide Leadership/Technical Support and Continuous Improvement of Orange Site’s Health and Safety Management systems, including policies/ procedures to ensure site meets/exceeds requirements defined by applicable regulatory authorities and ARLANXEO
- Provide Leadership/Technical Support and Continuous Improvement of Orange Site’s Process Safety and Risk Management Program, including policies/ procedures to ensure site meets/exceeds requirements defined by applicable regulatory authorities and ARLANXEO
- Provide Leadership/Technical Support and Continuous Improvement of Orange Site’s Industrial Hygiene Program, including policies/ procedures to ensure site meets/exceeds requirements defined by applicable regulatory authorities and ARLANXEO
- Provide Technical Support of Orange Site’s Safety and Fire equipment inspections, testing, preventative/predictive maintenance program, and identify/ implement improvements (Fire Pumps, Fire Lines, Sprinkler/Deluge systems, Safety Equipment, etc
In order to accomplish this, you will possess:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field (Engineering, Chemistry, Health and Safety, etc) with 1 year experience in a similar role within the manufacturing industry or;
- Associates Degree in Health, Safety and Environment with 5 years year experience in a similar role within the manufacturing industry or;
- 10+ years year experience in a similar role within the manufacturing industry in lieu of education
- A solid technical background, be highly motivated and possess good leadership traits.
- Knowledge of Safety and Industrial Hygiene regulatory requirements, behavior-based safety programs and training fundamentals.
- Problem solving skills and ability to identify areas for improvement.
- Ability to address a wide range of non-routine/ diverse problems, good communication skills are essential.
- Ability to work in a team environment and independently.
