ARLANXEO has a new career opportunity available for an Environmental Engineer at our Orange Manufacturing site. 

 

As an Environmental Engineer, you:

Will provide administrative and technical assistance and leadership to the Orange Site in implementing the regulatory requirements of TCEQ and EPA; provide expertise and regulatory guidance with respect to the Wastewater Treatment Program, Solid Waste Management Program, Groundwater Monitoring Program, and Public Water System. ; provide support in matters of Air Compliance and permitting and the Orange Site’s Process Safety and Risk Management Program. 

 

Duties include, but not limited to:

  • Direct all activities pertaining to the Wastewater Treatment System to ensure the system is properly permitted and meets all requirements of the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) and Texas Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (TPDES).  
  • Compile and complete required environmental and regulatory reports and ensure the plant is prepared for any regulatory audit and/or investigation. 
  • Perform internal audits/inspections as directed and follow up on corrective actions (i.e. DMR monthly and Semi-annual, Groundwater reporting, Public Water System reporting, Annual Waste Summary, Toxic Release Inventory)
  • Direct operations of the Solid Waste Management Program for the Orange Site to include collection, storage, classification, registration and shipment of waste.  Completing all
  • Ensure all inspections / calibrations are done for environmental systems according to federal, state and site requirements. (i.e. outfall calibrations,

 

In order to accomplish this you will possess:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field (Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Health and Safety, etc)
  • Minimum of 3 years in a similar role within the manufacturing industry
  • A solid technical background, be highly motivated and possess good leadership traits.
  • Knowledge of Environmental regulatory requirements including regulatory compliance, waste management, and waste cost accounting
  • Problem solving skills and ability to identify areas for improvement.
  • Ability to address a wide range of non-routine/ diverse problems, good communication skills are essential. 
  • Ability to work in a team environment and independently.
