Wir sind einer der weltweit größten Produzenten von Synthesekautschuk. Wir entwickeln, produzieren und vermarkten Hochleistungskautschuke, die für eine Vielzahl von Anwendungen eingesetzt werden. 
 
Wahrscheinlich verwenden Sie synthetische Kautschuke in Ihrem täglichen Leben, ohne es zu merken. Für die Fahrt zur Arbeit und nach Hause brauchen Sie Gummi in den Reifen Ihres Autos oder Fahrrads. Beim Duschen befindet sich eine Gummidichtung in Ihrem Wasserhahn. Beim Öffnen des Kühlschranks sorgen die Gummidichtungen dafür, dass die Tür richtig schließt und die Kälte drinnen bleibt. Neben diesen eher „traditionellen“ Anwendungen wird unser synthetischer Kautschuk auch in Batterien für Elektroautos, in Windmühlen und Solarmodulen verwendet.

Key Responsibilities 

• Integrated IP business partner for company’s development and growth initiatives
• Development of IP strategies for the business units as part of the business/corporate strategy;
• Preparation of patent reports / Freedom to operate analyzes including risk mitigation strategies
• Managing the patent applications worldwide from drafting to grant incl. opposition and appeal proceedings as well as representing the Group companies in the related proceedings before patent offices and relevant courts
• Benchmarking of ARLANXEO IP activities on IP portfolios of other market participants
• Enforcement of intellectual property rights against third parties
• IP-related support for acquisition and divestment projects of the Group
• Preparation and negotiation of all technology-oriented contracts

Professional / Personal skills 

• Result-focussed, confident, eager to learn and make an impact
• Commercial mindset with commitment to efficiency and sense for pragmatic solutions
• University degree in the field of chemistry, preferably with a doctorate
• Successful qualification as European Patent Attorney
• 3+ years’ experience in the field of IP (mostly patents), preferably an industrial patent department
• Experience of working in cross-functional matrix organizations
• Very good conceptual and communication skills
• Strong sense of responsibility, independence, initiative and dedication
• Fluent English spoken and written
• High degree of proficiency in German spoken and written
