Global Process Control Expert (m/f/d)

As the Global Process Control Expert you are the technology owner for process control in operations. You solve complex problems using systems theory and automation. Next to this you empower plant engineers to improve control systems themselves.

YOUR KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Serve as global key process control contact for all 12 production sites
• Optimize plant control systems for performance and robustness to minimize variation in production
• Save energy and raw material by optimizing operation point
• Ensure autonomous plant operation to minimize operator interventions
• Develop and implement process control teaching strategy and provide high level support to plant engineers
• Support development of digitalization strategy and roadmap

WHO YOU ARE:

• PhD in science or engineering (mathematics, system science, cybernetics, chemical engineering, electrical engineering)
• In-depth understanding of process control, automation, and control theory
• Expert knowledge in dynamic simulation and system analysis, preferably with MATLAB
• In-depth understanding of the needs of operations
• Experience with OSIsoft PI (Vision, ProcessBook, DataLink, Asset Framework) and Trendminer
• Professional experience 5 to 10 years
• Project management experience is very important
• International experience is very important
• Significant experience in digitalization of operations
