The position

As Account Manager your key role is to execute the sales in broadest sense at the applicable accounts within the Marketing & Sales objectives and policies set. The product portfolio comprises several product lines used broadly by many industrial customers in several markets. In this dynamic function you are part of a very international team and reporting to the Commercial Head in the EMEA region.

 

Your main responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain appropriate customer relationship                                     
  • Identify sales opportunities and technical projects
  • Manage sales related activities including account planning               
  • Price negotiation (within guidelines) and notification
  • Provide timely and accurate demand forecast data for account       
  • Gather and share intelligence on market, customers, competitors etc
  • Support implementation of grade and/or product related changes
  • Track business performance:
  • Forecast against business plan on monthly basis
  • Key Performance indicators
  • Receivables monitoring and follow-up for collection in cooperation with Customer Service
  • Managing agents & distributors, if applicable
  • Coordinate all information relevant to customers and their operations: organizational structure (who decides, who influences decisions), decision process, strategy and targets, projects, financial performance
  • Interface with Global Marketing, Sales & Marketing Coordinators, Integrated Business Planning, Customer Service, Technical Marketing

 

Your profile

  • Bachelors or master’s degree in commercial and / or technical field
  •  5-10 years of business to business experience in a multiproduct and international context, preferably in sales of Polymers, Elastomers and/or chemicals
  • Negotiation skills: persuasion, planning, strategizing and cooperating
  • Able to communicate at all levels in the organization and at senior level at customers
  • Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines
  • Result oriented, strong team player
  • Computer skills (MS Office)
  • Fluent in English (oral and written), additional linguistic capability is a plus
