For our Global Integrated Business planning (IBP) team, we are currently looking for a




(full time, based in Geleen, Netherlands)



The position:

The Integrated Business Planning process is one of the most critical and complex processes in Arlanxeo. It encompasses many business aspects and a broad group of functional stakeholders that are structurally involved to jointly agree on the most optimal mid-term business plan decisions and expectations. The regional business plans, demand expectations and ultimately the bottom line financial performance are a key component in this whole process and success depends largely on the transparency and reliability of the demand outlook and good portfolio management. 


Reporting to the Head of IBP Operations, you will be responsible for driving continuous improvement in this regional IBP process and performance. As such you will work closely with different function leaders in the region and globally to improve the planning interfaces and performance, building on a global IBP process and excellence agenda combined with the market dynamics and strategy of the region. The function can be split in 3 key roles, building on a combined mix of responsibilities:


  • IBP Business partner for the regional functions, identifying and tackling complex issues and opportunities impacting cost and capital or customer experience and that are related to the end-to-end business planning performance
  • Leading the monthly regional demand cycle and installing a culture of demand planning excellence that translates capability and performance improvement, particularly expressed in forecast and inventory KPI's.
  • Successful regional implementation of global IBP excellence solutions


This position is the key to bridge the information and knowledge between global and region; between IBP and other functions. You are the regional extension of the global IBP team and as such you voice, implement  and execute the global IBP strategy and plans in your region and vice versa you transparently voice the regional needs and concerns  to the global team to ensure optimal integrated solutions. Being a true team player by nature is critical for success. As well the ability to quickly build and nurture strong, collaborative and professional relationships.


We are looking for an experienced leader with a track record in demand planning improvement and inventory management. 


Main Responsibilities


  • Be a key member of the regional management team contributing to strategic functional and business plans globally
  • Driver for the regional organization capability, processes and systems to support the IBP processes and performance (Demand Planning, Forecast accuracy, Inventory management, NPI's / NPO's)
  • Own and lead the monthly IBP demand & performance reviews with regional leadership (sales, finance) ensuring critical assessment of demand plans, forecast accuracy, inventory performance, product life cycle management/projects, ensuring the region's alignment with business strategy & goals. This is a crucial part of the monthly IBP process.
  • Initiate and drive regional forecast accuracy improvement projects resulting in improved customer service levels and low cash investments
  • Ensure regional capability and service requirements are well articulated to SCM for to be covered in 3PL SLA's and liaise with regional SCM to drive performance improvements when needed.
  • Support the IBP Excellence team in the regional establishment and sustainability of global processes, tools and procedures
  • Ensure service offerings in (new) customer contracts are validated through the IBP process
  • Develop people capability, in particular but not limited to demand planning & inventory management
  • Initiate solutions, lead cross function projects and be responsible for the process and results



Your profile:

  • 10 years of experience as a leader in a global supply chain environment with a mature S&OP / IBP setup
  • Master’s Degree, preferably in supply chain or equivalent knowledge demonstrated by experience
  • Passionate about demand planning and acquainted with inventory management models
  • Able to understand conceptual ideas and translating them into tangible solutions  
  • Proven track record of successful indirect leadership
  • Result driven team player - tactfully balancing between realizing global IBP objectives and the local demands of the region, maintaining the relationship
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build and sustain a vast range of working relationships across multiple functions / nationalities, be flexible in approach / networking & influencing at all levels
  • Experienced in leading cross function supply chain projects
  • A change management mindset, knowing that it is the people that make the difference. Not the process or tools.
  • Familiar with SAP OTC/DRP/SD/MM, preferably a few years of experience as a production planner
  • Fluent in English
