For our Global Integrated Business planning (IBP) team, we are currently looking for a

 

 

Lead IBP Global Consolidation  

(full time, based in Geleen, Netherlands)

 

 

The position:

 

The Integrated Business Planning process is one of the most critical and complex processes in ARLANXEO. It encompasses many business aspects and a broad group of functional stakeholders that are structurally involved to jointly agree on the most optimal mid-term business plan decisions and expectations.

 

As a result of the merger of 2 former (P&L responsible) business units into one functional organization we have created one global IBP department and we are at the start of merging the 2 existing IBP processes into one globally harmonized process. The new IBP department has a vacancy for a "Lead IBP Global Consolidation" reporting into the IBP operations lead who is heading the global monthly IBP process.

 

As the Lead IBP Global Consolidation, you are the right hand of the Head of IBP operations and hold operational, process and people responsibilities. You have 4 people reporting to you, 3 global demand managers and an inventory analyst. This is a position for an experienced and ambitious academic who is acquainted with all processes and dynamics of a financially integrated business planning process and wants to use his/her experience to play a pivotal role in the development and embedding of one global IBP process in ARLANXEO. You are as well the back up the IBP operations lead and as such being the point of contact for senior leadership facilitating IBP leadership meetings and proactive resolution of escalating issues.

 

Operations wise you are responsible to present qualitative mid-term plan scenario's, showing best strategic and financial outcomes driving towards company targets related to Service, EBITDA, and Working Capital. This requires pre-alignment between the supply and demand organizations as part of the IBP cycle. You are able to show and explain in a comprehensive manner the ratio and business impact of each scenario to leadership. You are as well deeply involved in the daily operational dynamics and will act and involve relevant stakeholders when this is impacting the agreed IBP plans. The inventory target is owned by IBP and it is your direct responsibility to govern developments and initiate course corrective actions when needed.

 

Improvement wise you will be part of design discussions that are led by the excellence team and you will support the implementation project teams with a focus on progress and resilience. You will play a leading role in the selection and implementation of a new IBP tool, financial integration and the leverage of S4H in sales planning and inventory management. As such you have a proven track record in end-to-end supply chain planning in SAP understanding the system's capabilities and constraints and you are familiar with demand planning processes.

 

As people manager you lead by example, enabling a positive dynamic between demand and supply planning teams and fostering a culture of transparency and collaboration. Team development and coaching is key. The relatively young and unexperienced IBP team, that is eager to develop skills and capabilities, will benefit from your experience.
 

 

Your profile:

 

We are looking for an academic with approx. 10-15 years of experience, familiar with all the challenges between demand and supply in a multinational with a global footprint and mature S&OP/IBP process. The preferred candidate has a proven track record in SAP IBP/Master planning and preferably has been working with IBP planning tools. He/she is experienced with the different planning concepts (IBP/S&OP, demand planning, master planning and scheduling), data analytics and inventory management and understands what that means in the process industry driven by production wheels and run lengths. Furthermore, we expect the individual to have:

 

 

  • Strong communication, problem- and conflict-solving skills with displayed ability to communicate to all levels of the organization at the appropriate level of detail and complexity.
  • Indirect influencer, able to reconcile functional stakeholders around a common goal despite different interests.
  • Proven project management skills with the ability to lead global, cross functional teams.
  • Multiplier with a team spirit and with a passion for improvement empowering people to embark on the improvement journey.
  • Solid presenter and group facilitator. Ability to adapt presentations to needs of audience.
  • Demonstrated sensitivity to the needs of the business from both a local and global point of view.
  • Strong relationship-building skills based on reliability, integrity and respect;
