For our Global Integrated Business planning (IBP) team, we are currently looking for a


 IBP Global Demand Manager

(full time, based in Geleen, Netherlands)


The position:

The Integrated Business Planning process is one of the most critical and complex processes in ARLANXEO. It encompasses many business aspects and a broad group of functional stakeholders that are structurally involved to jointly agree on the most optimal mid-term business plan decisions and expectations.


As a result of the merger of 2 former (P&L responsible) business units into one functional organization we have created one global IBP department and we are at the start of merging the 2 existing IBP processes into one globally harmonized process. The new IBP department has a vacancy for an "IBP Global Demand Manager" reporting into the IBP operations lead who is heading the global monthly IBP process.


As the IBP Global Demand Manager, you support the IBP Operations team by generating regional and global unconstraint demand forecasts for the Product Lines that are in your scope. You are involved in the alignment of associated supply plans and stock levels, to be able to compile the consensus sales plans and eventually the constraint product allocation over sales regions. You will analyze and communicate supply issue/risk impact and the central point of contact for questions for marketing. You also have an understanding of the Finished product portfolio value performance worldwide and bring forward attention areas. You are crucial in driving demand forecast accuracy performance. In this role you will work closely with Global Marketing Managers, Regional IBP leads and the regional sales teams.


The operational responsibilities include:


  • Owner of the monthly global forecast collection process:
    • Consolidating the regional demand forecasts into global demand plan scenarios, including demand drivers and probability factors feeding the IBP planning process. Analysis and consistency check of the regional demand plans.
    • Participating in the Regional Demand Review meetings
    • Preparing and leading the Global Demand Review meetings
    • Contributing to the preparation of the Integrated Reconciliation meeting, participation in that meeting.
    • Prepare and maintain relevant reports pertaining the above mentioned processes.
  • Participate in the short term regional Demand & Supply alignment. Processing of enquiries during the month.
  • Responsible for accurate and up-to-date demand data  (forecast, sales plans) in the relevant systems.
  • Support the Regional IBP Lead in driving continuous improvement of the forecast accuracy owned by the sales organization.
  • Lead supply issue/risk  impact management & communication with all stakeholders
  • Agrees with Marketing Managers on constraint inventory allocation and provides input for sales/market communication regarding the duration, impact and recovery plan.



As the IBP team is in transition to new, more professional ways of working, you also play a role in the implementation of the improvement agenda:

  • Collaborate with the IBP Excellence Centre in selecting and implementing new forecasting tools and methodologies.
  • Contribute to the (development of) training and documentation on new demand collection processes and tools globally.
  • Member of IBP relevant projects.


Your profile:

We are looking for an academic or bachelor with a 3-5 years of working experience in demand and supply planning in a global foot print environment with state-of-the-art processes and tools in supply chain management and Integrated Business Planning. Experience with relevant modules in S/4 HANA, Business Warehouse and demand planning tools. Skilled in Excel. He/she has a good command of English, both written and oral.

  • Strong communication skills with ability to communicate to all levels of the organization at the appropriate level of detail and complexity.
  • Experience in presenting and group facilitating. Ability to adapt your style to needs of audience.
