Global Logistics Process Specialist

Join our team as the Global Logistics Process Specialist. You will be responsible for overseeing and driving optimization of logistics operations globally. In this role you work closely with the Global Head of Supply Chain and the Global Head of SC Excellence to set strategy and direction for the function. You are responsible for developing and implementing global logistics strategies in material flows, warehousing, transportation in close alignment with the regional and local supply chain and procurement stakeholders. 
The ultimate objective is to improve cost, service, and quality. Next to this you will be responsible for providing operational support to the logistic functions locally and globally.

The position is based in Geleen. 
 
YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop and implement a global logistics network strategy, including warehouse and transportation design, to optimize the company’s logistics operations globally in close alignment with the Global Head of Supply Chain and the Global Head of SC Excellence.
• Leverage and analyze logistics data to drive decision making, optimize logistics processes and manage performance.
• Ensure global alignment on logistics concepts, strategies, and processes. 
• Establish governance and ownership for logistics relevant KPI’s to ensure consistency and accuracy across the company.
• Develop and maintain logistics process governance and expertise across the organization, including standard operating procedures, works instructions and training materials.
• Work closely with cross functional teams to ensure the smooth execution of logistic plans, including business management, procurement, manufacturing, sales and customer service teams.
• Collaborate with the company’s IT team to ensure that logistics systems and processes are optimized and integrated with other company systems fostering automation.
• Lead and support regional and global improvement projects related to logistics processes with a focus on standardizing, strengthening, automating, and digitalizing.
• Document processes, develop training materials and conduct training sessions with all process participants to ensure a standardized way of working and the implementation of best practices.
• Develop and implement global reports to monitor and analyze KPIs and derive actions in cooperation with impacted stakeholders and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
• Oversee the adherence to designed processes to ensure operational excellence.

 
WHO YOU ARE:

• Bachelors or Master’s Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics or related business processes.
• 5 to 10 years of professional experience acquired mainly in process and chemical industry in a global business-to-business organization.
• In depth operational experience in logistics operations and networks.
• Process analytic, problem solving and conceptional design skills.
• Experience in business process redesign, change and project management.
• Strong communication skills (influence and convince) to motivate, empower and challenge project performances with a variety of stakeholders.
• Capacity to be oriented on short term performances and simultaneously to have the ability for building a positive mid-term vision with the associated action plans.
• Proficiency with Excel, Power Point, Word, Visio and Power BI.
• In depth knowledge of SAP by preference S4 Hana in the SCM related modules: SD-TM
• Fluent in English (oral and written).
• Willing to travel.
